Copper Queens star forward Barbra Banda finished second behind French forward Marie-Antoinette Katoto on the top goalscorers chart at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Banda scored four goals for Zambia in three group games. She scored a hat-trick against Australia and a goal against Germany.
Despite Banda’s heroics Zambia were eliminated in the group stage after losing all three of their games.
The four goals means she has now netted 10 goals in two Olympics tournaments to move to fourth on the all time top goalscorers chart.
Katoto and France on the other hand were eliminated by Brazil in the quarter finals.
USA’s Mallory Swanson also netted four goals while her teammates Trinity Rodman and Sophia Smith netted three each.
