Forest Rangers head coach Ian Bakala has penned a new three year deal with the Ndola based outfit.
The club confirmed the development in a statement made available to the ZamFoot Crew. The new deal will keep Bakala at Forest until 2025.
“Forest Rangers Football Club head coach Ian Bakala has signed a new 3 year contract with the club. Coach Bakala has agreed to a three-year extension, putting pen to paper on a deal which keeps him at Forest until 2025.”
Bakala joined Fole Malembe 8 games before the end of the 2021/22 season.
In his time in charge he recorded, 3 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. It is also during this period that the cub scored their highest number of goals in their super league history, 5-2 against Green Buffaloes.

Bakala’s previous contract was a short term one, subject to a review after the end of the 2021/22 season.
Bakala expressed happiness with the way he worked with the club in this short period and he believes Forest is capable of fighting for the title in the coming season.
“Next season we have to compete in the ABSA Cup and for the league title. Red Arrows won it with a young coach and it has given us confidence as Forest and looking at the caliber of players we have and the ones we are going to bring in, we will be capable of fighting for the title,” Bakala said shortly after penning the three year deal.
The club has equally signed a three-year-deal with his Assistant, Kennedy Kashobondo.
