Chipolopolo winger Augustine Mulenga is doubtful for this Saturday’s mouth watering encounter Cameroon 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia.
The 28 year old Orlando Pirates picked up an injury a fortnight ago on club duty.
Mulenga is back in full training but still rated 50/50 for the tie.
The explosive winger cum striker was one of the stand out players for Zambia last year.
The former Nkwazi and Zanaco wide man dismantled Algeria in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
He also helped Zambia reach the quarter finals of the CHAN tournament early this year.
‘Diego’ as his friends call him trained on his own in Lusaka last week.
Should he fail to pass a late fitness, his place in the team will be reclaimed by the returning Zambian legend Rainford Kalaba who was axed by the previous Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda.
Kalaba’s return to the team will also see the Mulenga vacant the Chipolopolo jersey no.17 to the TP Mazembe winger.
The Chipolopolo Boys are fine tuning in South Africa before they make a short trip to Windhoek.
Zambia need to collect maximum points after they suffered a defeat to Mozambique on match day 1.

This team can win anything that comes its way.
Just when I was beginning to think we didn’t have good football players in Zambia anymore.
Especially pa midfield, pali bola.
Ba Zamfoot whats the latest on the Zambian team? Whose in Camp already and which players expected to arrive?
Exactly!!!
Got very disturbing news today that training yesterday did not take place at UJ (University of Johannesburg) because FAZ did not make the necessary arrangements before hand with the institution. As a result the team lost a day of training ahead of the weekends game. I hope they got things back on track and have or are training today. I hope the story is not true otherwise this will make me absolutely lose all faith in this FAZ administration.
Hope it is not true as well. If it is true then Kamanga will have to explain
Its true… Boss..l live in Auckland park near UJ the officials are not aware of any plans for the team to have the preps there ….this Kananga ADM is making kalus ADM look so organized …I was really hoping that kamanga will prove me wrong
