Zambian midfielder Augustine Mulenga’s second half strike for AmaZulu condemned Mamelodi Sundowns to their first league defeat of the season in the DSTV Premiership.
The 31 year old was introduced in the 72nd minute and three minutes later he raced into the box, before beating Sundowns goalkeeper Dennis Onyango to end earn Amazulu victory.
This was the former Nkwazi and Zanaco winger’s third goal of the season.
Usuthu’s win over ended Sundowns’ incredible 25 unbeaten run in the league stretching back from last season.
This was AmaZulu’s fifth win of the season as they moved third on the log on 27 points while Sundowns suffered their first defeat in 18 games this season.
The Brazilians are currently top of the log with 43 points.
