Augustine Mulenga will join the Chipolopolo camp not fully fit after he sustained an injury when playing for his South African Club Orlando Pirates.
The attacking midfielder was substituted in the 46th minute in the loss against Bidvest Wits on 15th August after being crudely tackled in the first half and has since missed two of his club’s games including the Tuesday evening win over Black Leopards.
The Orlando Pirates insiders have confirmed to the ZamFoot Crew that Mulenga is being treated for a Grade-1 strain.
The 28 year old is however expected be back to full fitness by the 8th of September when Zambia play Namibia.
The former Zanaco player is expected to be one of the players who will be the first join coach Sven Vandebroek’s camp when it opens on Thursday ahead of the Namibia game.
Mulenga who has scored one goal in four appearances for his club this season is one of the 26 players who have been called to the Chipolopolo camp.

Let him recuperate!
