Arrows to face Yanga next month

Zambian Champions, Red Arrows will face Tanzanian Champions, Young Africans Sports Club next month in an international club-friendly match.

The Airmen and Yanga will square off on 6th August in Dar es Salaam as part of Yanga’s celebration of its Citizens Week.

The Airmen took to social media to confirm the development.

“Red Arrows Football Club has secured an international friendly against Tanzania Champions Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga) and will be played on 6 August 2022 in Dar es salaam to mark Yanga’s celebration of its Citizens Week.

The international friendly which is at the invitation of the Tanzania giants follows the Airmen’s collaboration with the Tanzania club and impressive run that subsequently earned them a 2021/22 Super league Championship.”

Both Arrows President Colonel Moses Kambimbi and Chief Executive Officer Lt Col Bruce Milunga thanked the Tanzania club for the international friendly match saying it will be an excellent opportunity to prepare the team not only for CAF games but the Super League.

Lt Col Milunga feels the expected Yanga crowd during the match will be an exciting environment for players to feel how to play with away and partisan crowds cheering as they start their continental campaign next month.

Arrows will going into their 10 days local camping and play a series of high profile friendlies in Lusaka before traveling to to Dar.
