Arrows open six point lead as Forest edge Wanderers

MTN Super League log leaders, Red Arrows, have temporarily opened a six point lead at the summit.

This follows a 2-0 win over Konkola Blades on Wednesday at Nkoloma Stadium. Goals from Ackim Mumba and Ciel Ebongo gave the Airmen a comfortable win.

A welcome win for Chisi Mbewe’s side as they now embark on a 3 tricky match tour with Power Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium, then ZESCO United before facing Green Buffaloes in a derby.

At Dola Hill in Ndola, Moro Amenu’s lone strike was enough to give Forest Rangers a well deserved 1-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers.

Kansanshi Dynamos’ winless run continued as they played to a goalless draw with Green Buffaloes.

Nkana picked up an important point against Prison Leopards which saw them leave the relegation Zone.

Defending Champions, Power Dynamos’ ambitions to defend the title were handed another blow as they played to a goalless draw with inconsistent ZANACO.

Power Dynamos are now nine points away from log leaders Red Arrows.

The MTN Super League action continues this afternoon with ZESCO United away to Kabwe Warriors, NAPSA Stars host visit FC MUZA while Trident FC welcome Green Eagles.
