Road to Paris: Full house as Grace Chanda, Kundananji and Prisca all train at Levy

The Zambia Women’s National Team has a full house ahead of Friday’s final round Olympic qualifier against Morocco.

Prisca Chilufya, Rachel Kundananji, and Grace Chanda arrived on Tuesday to complete the squad summoned by coach Bruce Mwape.

The trio trained with their teammates on Tuesday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Chanda is making her return to the team in ten months after missing the World Cup and the last two rounds of the Olympic qualifiers due to illness.

Chilufya on the other hand missed out on the games having been part of the games against Angola.

Tickets for Friday’s match that will kick-off at 19h00 are selling at K40 East, North and South, K60 West and K150 VIP and are available in all Shoprite stores countrywide via CompuTicket.

The Copper Queens host the Atlas Lionesses tomorrow in a Paris 2024 Olympics final round, first leg clash at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola at 19h00.

The overall winner over two legs will book one of the two available spots for African nations at the Olympics.

The other slot will come from the Nigeria versus South Africa clash to complete Africa’s two representatives at the global event.

  1. My only worry is how to fend off corners and free kicks…hoping the coaching staff has taken care of this…and the keeper??last performance wasn’t good

  2. Go copper queen’s go! Whilst all the players the coach summoned are all in, especially with the return of grace chanda, I would only consider it a full house when the first choice goal keeper, Hazel Nali, comes back. We are 98% full.
