Arrows, Mutapa part company after the expiry of contract

Osward Mutapa Jr has left Zambian Champions Red Arrows after his contract came to an end.

Mutapa was roped in August 2021 as Technical Director owing to the fact that Chisi Mbewe did not have a CAF A.

“Osward was only brought in because he had a CAF A. It is a requirement for a club to have a CAF A holder in CAF Champions/Confederations Cup but at that time Chisi didn’t have.

“Since Chisi now has a CAF A, we saw no need to extend to the TD’s contract.

Mutapa is already being linked with a job at Nkwazi.

It is also believed that he turned down the Zesco United job after he was offered the assistant coach role.

He is currently the Zambia Under-23 coach.
