Red Arrows returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Kansanshi Dynamos in a Week 24 MTN Super League encounter.
Nickson Mubili scored the only goal of the game in the 10th minute, heading in an Albert Kangwanda cross to hand the Airmen maximum points.
The victory moves Red Arrows to 46 points, reducing Power Dynamos’ lead at the summit to just two points.
At Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe, Konkola Blades also returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Kabwe Warriors.
Clive Bayeta opened the scoring for the Beston Chambeshi coached side in the 73rd minute before Benjamin Saeli doubled the advantage seven minutes later. Sichilima Charles pulled one back for Kabwe Warriors in the 77th minute but it proved to be only a consolation.
Meanwhile, Mutondo Stars stretched their impressive unbeaten run to nine matches after coming from behind to hold Nkana FC to a 1-1 draw at Arthur Davies Stadium.
Lazarous Kambole gave Kalampa the lead in the 18th minute, but Abel Mulenga restored parity for Mutondo Stars ten minutes later.
At Independence Stadium in Choma, Green Eagles edged Nkwazi 1-0 to bounce back from last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to FC Leopards.
Kunda ‘Neymar’ Nkandu scored the decisive goal in the 16th minute to hand the Kawale Boys their first victory over Nkwazi since 2022. The win moves Eagles to 35 points on the table.
Nkwazi’s struggles continue as the police side are now winless in their last six matches, recording four defeats and two draws.
In Mufulira, Mufulira Wanderers edged FC Leopards 1-0 thanks to Maybin Mpoyi’s 38th minute penalty.
The victory sees the legendary cup winners move into fourth place on 40 points.
