Around Europe: Weekend forecast for European based Pros

With European league football expected to resume following the recent international break, a vast array of Chipolopolo Boys are expected to be in action over the weekend for their respective clubs.

The ZamFoot Crew takes a look at the fixture list involving the Copper Bullets.

Saturday 2nd April

Czech Republic

MFK Vyskov vs Viktoria Zizkov, kick-off time: 10:15 (CAT)

Zambian defensive midfielder Benson Sakala should be in Viktoria Zizkov’s match-day squad visiting Vyskov in a mid-morning encounter of the Fortuna Narodni Liga, Czech Republic’s second tier.

The former Power Dynamos man, who is predominatly played as a central defender at Zizkov will be hopping to build on his side’s last league outting where he put-in a ninety minute shift.

Could he be the solution to Zambia’s defensive midfield woes?

Elsewhere in Czech Republic, central midfielder, Ngosa Sunzu is still recovering from an injury lay-off.

The Zambian duo of Klings Kangwa and Evans Kangwa are expected to feature as relegation fighting Tula entertain Akhmat in a lunch time fixture.

Klings Kangwa has been in electric foam lately, putting in man-of-the-match performances regulary.

England

Brighton vs Norwich City, kick-off time: 16:00 (CAT)

Zambian skipper Enock Mwepu is expected to feature as the Seagulls welcome relegation strugglers, Norwich City.

The Computer will be pushing for a starting berth following a productive outing over the international break, where he scored and assisted in Zambia’s 3-1 win over Congo Brazzaville.

Manchester United vs Leicester City, kick-off time: 18:30 (CAT)

Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka and the Foxes have a date with fourth place-chasing Man United at Old Trafford.

Daka netted his first-ever English Premiership goal in the reverse fixture and will be looking to score following a run of six games without a goal in the EPL.

Israel

Maccabi Petah Tikva vs Hapoel Haifa, kick-off time: 17:00 (CAT)

In-form Zambian winger Lameck Banda should lead the line for Tikva side that welcomes Haifa in a league encounter.

Banda has managed 8 goals and two assists thus far this season and is his club’s top scorer.

Scotland

Glasgow Rangers vs Celtic, kick-off time: 13:00 (CAT)

Fashion Sakala’s Rangers host Celtic in a titanic top-of-the-table clash.

Fresh from marking his Chipolopolo debut in style with a goal, Frankie Musonda is expected to make a competitive return to club duty.

Denmark

Helsingør vs AC Horsens, kick-off time: 15:00 (CAT)

Chipolopolo wing-wizard and vice captain Lubambo Musonda should be in action as promotion chasing AC Horsens visit Helsingør.

Over the next 2 months, six sides-Horsens included, will battle for two available promotion places to the Danish Superliga, Denmark’s top tier league competition.

Monday 4th April

Sweden

Djurgårdens IF vs Degerfors, kick-off time: 19:00 (CAT)

Midfield General Emmanuel Banda is expected to be in the match-day squad as Djurgårdens commence their 2022 League campaign with a home fixture.

The Allesvenskan, Sweden’s top tier league competition runs from April to December.

Denmark
