Albert Mphande happy with a draw in the Southern Province derby

Green Eagles football club and Nakambala Leopards shared the spoils on Saturday as they played to a goalless draw point in the Southern derby of week 20 of the MTN FAZ Super League.

The sweet boys were hoping for a win after suffering a heavy defeat against Zanaco and losing four straight games.

Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew after the match Nakambala Leopards head coach Albert Mpande said he was happy with a point especially after going four games without picking up a single point.

“We have gone Four games without a win and we coming from a heavy defeat from Zanaco so it was not easy for us to take on a ZNS Sponsored side because they are a good team very tactical with a good approach but at least we have managed to hold them and we were almost scoring but it’s good for us,” he said.

“We are hoping that all will be well for Nakambala Leopards we have seen the way the boys are playing and they played well today, am just hoping that we can still come up like that in the remaining games,” he added.

Albert Mpande was confident that Nakambala Leopards will fight till the last hurdle in order to survive relegation.

“The league is still on we are remaining with 16 games so will fight till the last whistle I promise and as I said Nakambala will survive relegation and finish on a good note because we are seeing the way the boys are pushing.”

After 19 games played Nakambala Leopards are still in the relegation zone on number 16 with only 15 points.
