Zambia Women National Team coach Bruce Mwape has summoned a 30-member locally based provisional squad which is expected to enter camp on Wednesday 5th February 2020 as the Copper Queens preparations start ahead of next month’s crucial Tokyo 2020 Olympic Qualifier fifth and final round match against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
Coach Mwape has retained the core players who have featured in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic’s race leading up to this round.
He has recalled Nkana Queens goalkeeper Tricia Mutale, Indeni Roses trio of goalkeeper Catherine Musonda, Defender Jackeline Nkole, Striker Theresa Chewe, and Green Buffaloes influential Midfielder Ireen ‘Sevila’ Lungu is also back in the squad.
Other new call-ups include Zesco Girls ‘Game Changer’ Happy Pinto, Green Eagles trio of Rose Cheelo, Amira Njobvu and Tryness Changwe.

Thandiwe Nkhata who is the sister to Under-20 midfielder Towela Nkhata has also made the cut, not forgetting Police Doves Defender Melody Mulosa.
The foreign-based players include Captain of the side, Misozi Zulu, Racheal Kundananji as well as vice-captain Barbra Banda who recently signed for Chinese top-flight side Shanghai Shengli will join the team in the final stages due to club commitments.
Zambia will be away in the first leg on March 5 in Yaounde before hosting Cameroon five days later in Lusaka.
