Adoko praises teamwork for Napsa Stars win away in Kenya

NAPSA Stars Football club on Sunday afternoon shocked Kenyan giants Gor Mahia 1-0 away in Nairobi at the Nyayo international Stadium in a CAF Confederation Cup pre-group stage first leg tie.

The Pensioners goal which was the only goal of the game was scored by Ghanaian international midfielder, Daniel Adoko in the 56th minute to give the pensioners an advantage going into the second leg.

Speaking to the ZamFoot Crew in a post-match conference, Adoko said his team used teamwork and followed the coach’s instructions to win the game.

“We are so happy we didn’t expect this but fortunately we worked as a team and achieved our dream, the coach gave us tactics because we were playing away so we were defending whilst Attacking, so we were defending more because we were playing away so all in all we were playing according to the coach’s instructions because we only had one chance and we buried it,” he said.

Napsa faces Gor Mahia in Lusaka next Sunday in the return match to see who qualifies to the group stage of the competition.
