Nkana advanced to the Absa Cup quarter final following a 3-1 post match penalties win over Roan United at Kitwe’s Arthur Davies Stadium.

The Kitwe giants needed a second half equaliser from veteran striker Idriss Mbombo to send the tie penalties.

Wilfred Chitembo gave Roan United a lead from the spot in the first half.

The Copperbelt provincial side defended in numbers to keep Kalampa at bay.

Elsewhere Kansanshi Dynamos caused un upset following their 4-1 thrashing of Green Buffaloes.

Konkola blades beat Solwezi Academy 2-0 while holders Red Arrows hammered Mpulungu Harbour 6-1.
