#AbsaCup | Forest Myooye thrash Barotse Crocs 

Central Province side Forest Myooye have qualified to the round of 16 of the K7 million rich 2026 ABSA Cup following a huge win in their preliminary round encounter. 

Forest Myooye thumped Barotse Crocs 5-0 to progress to the next round of the prestigious Cup competition. 

A brace each from Abraham Tembo and John Mwansa plus a goal from David Monde gave Myooye a huge win at Railway Stadium in Kabwe. 

Forest Myooye will face MTN Super League side Mufulira Wanderers in the round of 16. 

Forest Myooye’s John Mwansa was named as the player of the match thanks to his brace and an assist- the award  is sponsored by Big Tree and Spectra Oil. 

The preliminary round of action continues tomorrow as Solwezi Mushitala Stars take on Teta FC of Northern Province while Nampundwe of Lusaka Province battle Eastern Province’s Mikalile. 

On Sunday Mathkat United of Luapula will face Play It Forward of Southern Province while Zambezi Portland of Copperbelt faces Muchinga Provinces’ Real Nakonde. 

The champions of the 2026 ABSA Cup will walk away with K1,100,000, while the runners-up will pocket K450,000 courtesy of the sponsors ABSA Bank Zambia.
