Zesco United legendary goalkeeper Jacob Banda has been honoured by ABSA bank.
The former shot stopper was awarded with an Absa Cup recognition award as the competitions most decorated player since its inception.
Banda won six Barclays/ABSA Cups since it’s inception in 2017.
Spiderboy first won his first Barclays Cup trophy in 2007 after Zesco United beat the Sanida Zulu and Venecious Mapande led Chambishi at Nkoloma Stadium.
In 2008, Banda was part of the Zesco United that beat Power Dynamos 1-0 in the final to defend the cup.

Having missed the 2009 title, the former Zambia international was back in the final in 2010 as Zesco United defeated Zanaco 2-0.
Zesco went on a four year drought to claim their fourth cup in 2014 as they beat Nkana.
Banda then won his fifth and last ABSA Cups in 2016 and 2019 before he hang up his grooves.
It is in this same period that Banda went on to claim nine league titles, two Mosi Cups, one Coca Cola Cup and four Charity Shields.
