The Prestigious ABSA Cup has now reached the business end of things with only eight teams left as the hunt for the lucrative 2025 ABSA Cup crown continues.
Record six time winners ZESCO United saw off Barts FC in the round of 16 and will now square off with Konkola Blades.
ZESCO are aiming for an unprecedented 7th ABSA Cup trophy after seeing their hopes of winning the league drastically reduced by Power Dynamos impressive form and their inconsistency.
Konkola Blades are motivated after winning promotion to the MTN Super League and will be hoping to secure a place in the semis at the expense of the record winners of the Competition.
Nkana who struggled to see off Roan United in the Round of 16 will now face Kansanshi Dynamos who handed 2015 winners Green Buffaloes a footballing lesson, 4-1 to set up a meeting with 2019 winners.
Defending Champions, Red Arrows will fight out with Green Eagles in a military derby while last year’s runners up Kabwe Warriors will entertain MTN Super League log leaders Powerful Power Dynamos.
With K1,000,000 at stake, competition is expected to be stiff in the quarter finals as teams battle it out and hope to walk to the bank smiling with the hefty cash prize.
Tickets have already gone on sale at Shoprite outlets countrywide via Computicket.Ticket prices are set at K250 for VIP, K150 for grandstand while K30 fetches you an Open Wing ticket.
The winners of this year’s edition will walk away with the K1,000,000 winners’ prize money.
Runners-up will receive K400,000 and there is also a travel subsidy of K50,000 to all teams.
