The 2025 ABSA Cup was launched on Wednesday morning with the draws for the preliminary round of the competition done at ABSA House in Lusaka.
The sponsors ABSA Bank Zambia have increased the sponsorship with a total package of K6.5 Million announced which is an 18 percent increment from last year.
The winners will walk away with K1,000,000 while the runners up will pocket K400,000.
The preliminary round will see ten Provincial teams face off with five progressing to the round of 16 to join seven Super League teams and four from National Division One.
The player of the tournament, the top goalscorer and the best goalkeeper will pocket K25,000 each.
The player of the match will walk away with K5,000 in the preliminary stage and K15,000 from the quarter final stage to the final.
ABSA went on to reveal that Travel subsidies for the participating teams will vary between K30,000 to K50,000.
The preliminary rounds will take place on the weekend of 15/16 March with the Round of 16 set for 5th/6th April while the Quarter Finals will take place on the weekend of 12/13th April.
The semi finals of the 2025 ABSA Cup Competition will take place on the weekend of 26th/27th April with the final set for 10th May.
