The Football Association of Zambia,FAZ is yet to unveil the list of the foreign based players.
While FAZ or is it Chipolopolo Boys coach George Lwandamina are still tight limped on the foreign based players called a host of countries around the globe have named their squads for the upcoming international break.
There’s a likely hood that a full squad will be unveiled on Wednesday or later on today.
The ZamFoot Crew takes look at possible recalls from the previous squad.
While Stoppila Sunzu, Collins Mbesuma,Kennedy Mweene,Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala are guaranteed starting berths Chisamba Lungu and Lubambo Musonda are not yet.
The seven players are likely to be named.
The Sudan game will come early for Emmanuel Mayuka who is expected to make the bench for Metz while as for Fwayo Tembo its debatable if he is being considered.
Evans Kangwa and Emmanuel Mbola are in a tricky situation. Possible recalls?? No chance for now.
Jacob Mulenga has done well with 13 goals and ended as his team s top despite joining at the middle of the season in China.
With Winstone Kalengo, the first choice striker theres no way Jacob can come and warm the bench.
Kabaso Chongo, fans favourite for that right full back role ahead of rookie Ben Chepeshi has been cheering his teammates at TP Mazembe in Champions League from the stands.
Football is a cruel game. Twelve months ago Given Singuluma was a pivotal cog in Honour Janza’s squad but the CHAN golden boot winner has become a peripheral figure at both club and country.
If there was a tournament Rodger Kola could have been given a shout at was AFCON 2015 but alas Sate Sate was preferred. Now in Greece and Lwandamina knows all about him having worked with the boy at the 2007 World Youth Championship in Canada.
As for the likes of Bornwell Mwape, Allan Mukuka, Hichani Himoonde and Mukuka Mulenga, a call up is far fetched.
After being omitted for the friendly against Egypt, Aaron Katebe wont make the squad again.
So,which foreign based players should be called for the Sudan game? Have Your Say
Useless FAZ and Lwandamina trying to dilly-dally so they can get players based on favouritism. Nonsense. I don’t trust these scums.
Mweene, Aaron Katebe, Sunzu,Kalaba,Mbesuma, Chisamba Lungu ,Jacob Maulenga,Sinkala,Lubambo Musonda, Mayuka and some local players
EVANS KANGWA CAN MAKE GOOD MOVEMENTS WITH MBESUMA
EVANS IS ABLE TO FACE AND BEAT DIFENDERS
Mbola and kabaso Chongo in the full back positions please we need experience in Sudan. Kabaso has played for Tp mazembe and the big game against brazil he knows what it takes.
Walasa john We can not afford to give Sudan a chance as the late Dennis Liwewe used to say “no chance in hell”
I SUPPORT KANGWA HE IS FAST SWIFT AND FLEXIBLE
jst waiting for abram to wake up and start his wailing
From the perfomances from players abroad George Lwandamina must recall Fwayo Tembo,Roger Kola,Jacob Mulenga,Evans Kangwa,Emanual Mbola for the Sudan game, these players have done very well at their clubs this season,
Please let the technical bench also consider Fwayo Tembo for the game against sudan.NO room for experiments now.Kaboso chongo and Mbola would be better wing backs ahead of Ben chepeshi and Boyd Mkandawire.Remember ssudanese are tall with massive pace.We know there is need to develop young talent but for an important game agaist sudan please let there be experience blended with a few young stars
All our defensive players are too error prone at the moment. Kabaso and Mbola are just as error prone as the two youngsters. The only difference is they have more experience. i would pick Nkausu and Muzo over them if these guys were playing competitive football right now. So it looks like we have to pick the best of the worst in defense. Even our central defenders have also looked porous, Sunzu, Katebe and Munthali have all not performed with supreme confidence this year. As for the forward line the positions are almost certain except i don’t know why Kangwa is being excluded. i would add him in the front line and bench Chisamba based on recent national team performances.
mweene, kabaso, mbola, sunzu, katebe, sinkala, chisamba, mbesuma, kalaba, fwayo, lubambo, kangwa, kalengo, munthali, & other local players shud be called. We are tired of experiment we want to qualify to de world cup.
KENNEDY,NKAUSU,J MUSONDA,SUNZU,KATEBE,LUBAMBO,CHISAMBA,KALABA,MBESUMA,KALENGO,FWAYO.
Sudan is a strong team we need experience players to beat them
John you very useless hey,are u still talking about a game that happened 12 months ago?…what has chongo done from that time,at club especially coz hes warming a bench or watchn frm da stands..he aint a regular
@ merrich, john is right coz u cant compare kabaso & chepeshi kabaso he is beter than plunk chepeshi.
The coach should leave chipesh and mkandire to the under 23 he should kabaso and mbola
Knowing Chicken George, I can predict the pros that he will call:
Kennedy Mweene, Stopilla Sunzu, Nathan Sinkala, Rainford Kalaba, Chisamba Lungu, Collins Mbesuma,
Local players: Jacob Banda,Benedict Chepeshi,Boyd Mkandawire,Buchizya Mfune, Chris Munthali, Dauti Musekwa, Jack Chirwa, Paul Katema, Winston Kalengo, Charles Zulu, Spencer Sautu, Conlyde Luchanga. If Kalaba will be banned by CAF then Lubambo Musonda will be the perfect replacement.
chivuta,j.mulenga,lungu,lubambo,tembo,kola,kangwa,mbola,sinkala,kalaba,sunzu,katebe,mweene,bornwell,chongo,mbesuma
The best foreign based player are;
1 Collins Mbesuma (S.A)
2. Chisamba Lungu (Russia)
3. Jacob Mulenga (China)
4. Lubambo Musonda (Armenia)
5. Rainford Kalaba (Zaire)
6. Nathan Sinkala (Zaire)
7. Kabaso Chongo (Zaire)
8. Aaron Katebe (Morrocco)
9. Mbola and (Israel)
10.Patrick Ngoma (Egypt)
These are very active and talented
and not forgetting stopilla.
On the local front.
Lazarous Kambole of ZESCO is one player with exceptional abilities and qualities and deserves the call up, he reminds of Timothy Mwetwa and Rotson Kizo Kilambe
The right and left backs have really received a lot of flak from us fans which is very unfair truth be told. They have been flung into a situation where they are punching way above their weight and as such the people responsible for this are the people that put them their not them.
How can we be calling up Kabaso when he has not had regular game time and we have no clue what his form is at the moment and yet turn around and say we don’t want experiments from the coach. Let’s be consistent with our arguments.
Mbola yes can be called up because we know he is a regular in a good league and is giving off good performances as for Choongo, wasn’t he even dropped from the national team just recently??? We need only performing players for the national team not past glory stories.
I think the coach has very good/nice striker selection problems….lol
With Kalengo, Mbesuma, Jacob and Kangwa’s recent form he has strikers that can deliver.
In advanced midfield he has the ever so talented Kalaba, Chisamba and youngster Lubambo Musonda.
Defensive midfield Nathan can sometimes come up with very average performances but a good alternative is Mtonga.
Defence is the major problem. We only have Sunzu who seems to have rediscovered his old self in the French league finally but as for the rest, there are question marks there.
That said I still believe we have the mantle to beat Sudan both home and away. Yes some bloggers are rating Sudan to the level of Brazil but truth be told they are not in our class. They will be a difficult customer but still not on our level.
Based on recent team form I believe the chipolo polo is going to scale this hurdle but Sudan is all willing to spoil the party. There is no need for experiments. This is only a first stage. The next stage would have The 4 west African giants, North Africans and Sub-Saharan African Nomads with their bulky nature. This are unkind oppositions and the earlier Zambia gets a well connected and Telepatic team, the better. Chicken must stop experimenting
Chipeshi shud be drops
Wonderfully and fearfully made!
