Former Zambia national team head coach Wedson ‘Wasa-Wada’ Nyirenda has resigned from his post of head coach at PSL side Baroka FC according to reports in South Africa.
The former Chipolopolo gaffer’s decision to move away comes six months before the end of his contract with Bakgaga.
Nyirenda made headlines after becoming the first coach to win a major trophy for Baroka in the TELCOM knockout when he beat 10-man Orlando Pirates on post-match penalties in 2018.
Nyirenda has in recent times defied ultimatums with either a draw or wins but his future has remained uncertain at the club with ZamFoot Crew sources in South Africa citing frustrations with some members of the club’s management as one of the major reasons why he has decided to call it quits.
Baroka is currently on 14th place on the log and has failed to pick up maximum in their last three games having drawn against Orlando Pirates and Chippa United before going down at home to Stellenbosch by a lone goal on Sunday.
