2024 WAFCON Qualifiers: Copper Queens out to finish off Angola 

The Zambia Women’s National Team will this evening face Angola in a Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final round, second leg qualifier. 

Coach Bruce Mwape has already declared his lasses ready for this evening’s match. 

The match will kick-off at 18h00 at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola where the Copper Queens will be making their debut at the stadium.

Mwape could make a few changes to his starting line up. 

Skipper Barbra Banda is set to lead the attack alongside Goal50 award nominee Rachel Kundananji

Fan favourite Avell Chitundu is expected to join the duo in attack as a change from Tuesday’s game replacing Prisca Chilufya. 

In midfield, Mwape is expected to maintain his exciting trio of Susan ‘Sashi’ Banda, Evarine Susan Katongo and the female Computer Ireen Lungu. 

In defence,  Lushomo Mweemba will continue her impressive partnership with Elite Ladies defender Pauline Zulu. 

Martha Tembo will maintain her place at left back with either Esther Siamfuko or Esther Banda starting at right back. 

Catherine Musonda is likely to maintain her place between the sticks.

Mwape could also call upon the likes if Hellen Chanda , Rachel Nachula, Misozi Zulu, Prisca Chilufya, Fridah Kabwe, Charity Mubanga and  Lungowe Namasiku. 

The Copper Queens carry a six zero advantage from the first leg thanks to their huge win away in Luanda.
