The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has set the date for this year’s 2019 Women’s Football League that is expected to kickoff on 17th February, 2019.
This will be the first time that a curtain riser will be played to mark the opening of the Women’s League which is played regionally in Lusaka, Central, North-Western and the Copperbelt Women Leagues.
The season opener will be played between Indeni Roses and Green Buffaloes and has been scheduled for Saturday, 16th February,2019 to be staged in Lusaka at a venue to be confirmed. The Association has further required Indeni Roses and Green Buffaloes to confirm their availability for the encounter.
Clubs have been further urged to register their players in the ongoing registration process that started on 1st January, and will end on 28th February, 2019. This is according to a circular sent to clubs by FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala.
