The Zambian Squad that lifted the Africa Cup in 2012 is among the many Zambians that have been honored by President Micheal Sata for their distinguished service to the country.
FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya has also been honored for his selfless contribution to Zambian Football.
Joshua Titima, Chintu Kampamba, Patrice Beumelle, Nyambe Mulenga,Kalusha Bwalya, Herve Renard Honour Janza and Davies Phiri were present to receive their medals.
Also honored was the Seoul Olympics team which stunned the world when they crushed Italy by 4 goals to nil with the technical bench led by late Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu.
Congratulations to all recipients of the medals. As a soccer fan I would like thank all our heroes; 1988 Olympics team, the 1994,1996, 1998 & 2012 Afcon teams for making us proud… Not forgetting the under 20 team that made it to the 2005?? world cup as well as the under 17 girls team that represented Zambia on the world stage in the recent past…
