20 goals in 18 games: Another Patson Daka goal sees Salzburg beat Lask

Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka helped his club Redbull Salzburg extend their lead on top of the Austrian Bundesliga to 8 points after scoring the only goal in their away win over third placed Lask.

Daka has now scored in six consecutive games in the league as continues to rake up phenomenal numbers with his goal scoring feat.

The Zambian striker sneaked in from the back of his marker Trauner in the box to bury a Rasmus Kristensen cross with a diving header in the 13th minute in a typical goal poachers fashion.

Enock Mwepu put in a great shift an could have assisted Daka in the game 26th minute but he failed to find the target.

This was his 20th goal in 18 games in the league this season. He has also assisted five times.

The 22 year old has played 31 games, scored 27 goals and made 8 assists in all competitions.

He is expected to lead the Chipolopolo attack as Zambia look to beat Algeria and Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup qualifiers to be played on 25th March and 29th March respectively.

  1. Zambia must be mentally strong if they want to beat Algeria. The notion that says “Arabic teams are difficult to beat” should be erased from our player’s mind.
This is the same thing that cost NAPSA Stars.
I believe Zambia will turn the tables around and qualify.

  2. ZAMBIA beat Algeria both home and away.Where is that understands this Arab nation. We need experienced players if we are going to Algeria and Zimbabwe. If those players are left out, forget about qualifying.

  3. I concur with you Afro Ben but I believe this will be a different ball game the team has enough ammunition to silence the pundits let’s support the lads
