Chipolopolo to set camp in Ghana ahead of Nigeria clash

The Football Association of Zambia, FAZ have announced the Chipolopolo Boys will set up camp in Ghana ahead of October 7th, 2017 mouth watering Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

And the local players led by Zanaco’s in form winger Augustine Mulenga will leave for West Africa on Sunday.

The local lads will be joined by foreign based players later on Monday and Tuesday.

Nigeria are top of the group with 10 points and were expected to be runners up leaders but after Zambia recorded back to back victories over North African giants, the match in Uyo state has become one of the peak of the ties on match day 5 in the African series.

The Super Eagles beat Zambia 2-1 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola last year. The side the Nigerians faced on the Copperbelt is completely different to the one which beat Algeria 4-2 over two games.

Chipolopolo Boys coach Wedson Nyirenda has drafted in the likes of Enock Mwepu, Patson Daka and Fashion Sakala from the Zambia Under-20 while locals lads like Mulenga and Ernest Mbewe have added speedy on the flanks.

The double over Algeria by the Chipolopolo Boys has sent shivers in the Super Eagles campus

There’s also the experience of Stopilla Sunzu, Chisamba Lungu, Kondwani Mtonga and goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene in the side.
