Chisi Mbewe’s Arrows are now on 60 points while the Ndola based side are on 50 points.
Power Dynamos, who beat Mutondo Stars on Wednesday, are 2 points behind Zesco United.
Elsewhere Green Eagles beat Mufulira Wanderers 1-0 at Shinde Stadium in the other match on Thursday thanks to an Ernest Mbewe strike.
Wanderers are still in the drop zone on 30 points.
