ZSL Preview: Arrows in Power test; Eagles, Zesco clash in Choma

The top three clubs in the Zambian Super League will be in action on Thursday afternoon.

Leaders Red Arrows visit Power Dynamos at Kitwe’s Arthur Davies Stadium while second and third placed sides clash in Choma.

Champions Zesco United have travelled to Choma to face Green Eagles at a volatile venue.

Power Dynamos v Red Arrows

Kitwe giants Power Dynamos welcome league leaders Red Arrows at Arthur Davies Stadium in what promises to be a mouthwatering clash.

Power Dynamos will be without goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga on international duty.

Midfielder Joshua ‘Budo’ Mutale is back from Chipolopolo duty.

Arrows’ trio Benedict Chepeshi, Prosper Chiluya and goalkeeper Charles Kalumba are also away with the Chipolopolo in Turkey.

Arrows currently lead the pack on 55 points while Power are on 38 points, having just picked one win in their last 5 matches.

Power Dynamos have to step up their game

Green Eagles v Zesco United

The clash in Choma is the peak of the ties as Green Eagles welcome Zesco United.

Both sides are currently on 47 points, and can not afford to drop points.

Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi will look to Amity Shamende, Hosea Siame and Derick Bulaya for firepower

At the back, Shapy Chikondi will marshal the defence.

Having being dumped out of the Absa Cup by Eagles, Zesco will hope to avenge that defeat in Kitwe.

Numba Mumamba is spoilt for choice in attack and midfield.

Collins Sikombe, Chanda Mukuka, and veteran John Ching’andu will be the key players.
