The Zambian Premier League season will kick off on 10th August with the curtain raiser, the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu charity shield.
League winners, Red Arrows will take on ABSA Cup runners up, Kabwe Warriors at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The Women’s will also join the Charity shield starting this season with Green Buffaloes WFC the winners of the Women’s Super Division taking on the winners of the National Division One (Nchanga Rangers Queens vs Choma Warriors).
The Charity shield again this year will be sponsored by Zambian Breweries.
ZPL will also organise a visit to the family of Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu to pay a courtesy call and take a token of appreciation.
The Men’s and Women’s Super League will kick off on the 17th of August.
Newcomers Atletico Lusaka will take on Forest Rangers while Lumwana Radiants are away to Nkana.
NAPSA Stars host ZESCO United while Power Dynamos lock horns with Mufulira Wanderers.
Meanwhile in the Women’s Super Division, Defending Champions, Green Buffaloes WFC will start their title defence against Green Eagles.
Newcomers Choma Warriors and Nchanga Rangers Queens will start their campaign against Red Arrows Women and Luyando Foundation Girls respectively.
YASA Queens will welcome Nkwazi Queens with Elite Ladies facing off with ZESCO Ndola Girls.
