NAPSA Stars and Mutondo Stars recorded shock wins over Nkwazi and Kabwe Warriors while Konkola Blades and Green Eagles beat Mufulira Wanderers and Prison Leopards respectively.
The MTN Super League entered week fifteen of action on Saturday afternoon with Edwin Imboela Stadium hosting a double header.
The lunch time kick off saw brother Perry and Oswald Mutapa go head to head as Nkwazi welcomed NAPSA Stars.
It was Perry who got the better of his elder brother as goals from Zikiru Adams and Luka Banda gave the Pensioners a hard fought 2-0 win.
In the second match of the day at the same venue, Green Buffaloes needed a late Golden Mashata equaliser to rescue a point against FC MUZA.
The Ndola derby ended in a 1-1 draw as Lazarus Kambole cancelled out a Benson Kolala goal.
Meanwhile defending Champions, Power Dynamos played to a goalless draw with winless Trident FC.
In Chililabombwe, Konkola Blades recorded a hard fought 2-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers thanks to goals from Victor Mubanga and Francis Mubanga.
In Choma, Lameck Banda’s Prison Leopards were handed a huge defeat by Alex Namazaba’s Green Eagles.
In form Freddy Michael scored a brace to take his goal tally to 9 goals for the season. Hosea Silwimba and Amity Shamende chipped in with a goal each.
The win sees Green Eagles move up to 5th on the log table.
Kabwe Warriors’ bad run of form has continued as they succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Mutondo Stars.
Goals from Dalitso Lungu and Titus Chansa secured the much needed maximum points for Evergreen at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
