Lt General Maliti Solochi says ZNS will no longer sponsor Young Green Eagles Kafue as well as Young Green Eagles Luapula.
According to Stanford Kabwata, the Commandant broke the news after Green Eagles’ 2-2 draw against Kafue Celtic on Wednesday.
There has been widespread news with regards to status of both Young Green Eagles.
Young Green Eagles -Kafue was last season demoted to the National First Division.
With two clubs shut down, ZNS will now concentrate on Aggrey Chiyangi’s Green Eagles.
For the past four seasons, the Choma based side has been of the most consistent clubs in the Zambian Super League.
I can see some parallels with the early 90’s when a lot of teams sponsored by ZCCM and government organisations went under only for them to start coming back in he 2000’s
