Zesco Utd to face Swallows; Power up against Khartoum

Zambia’s CAF envoys Zesco United and Power Dynamos will face Mbabane Swallows of Swaziland and Khartoum of Sudan respectively.

Zesco returns to CAF Champions League after winning the league while Power will be hoping for a better outing this time in the Confederations Cup.

The Sudanese side will host the Kitwe giants in the first leg on the weekend of 13-15 February and a fortnight later it will at Arthur  Stadium as Tenant Chilumba’s men try to advance to the next round.

Should the Kitwe giants advance to the next round, then a tie against the winner between Gabonese side of FC Mounana and Polisi of Zanzibar.

In the round, Dinamo might face South African giants Orlando Pirates, should both side advance.

Kalampa’s opponents back for Zescolo

For Zesco United, it will see Mbababe Swallows make its second successive visit to Zambia after they were eliminated by Nkana earlier this year.

Ivory Coast’s Sewe sports might make another return to Zambia after they eliminated Nkana in this year’s CAF Confederations Cup. The winner between Sewe Sports and Guinea’s AS Khaloum will face Zesco United in the next round while a North African job awaits George Lwandamina’s side in the final qualifying round.

‘Team Ya Ziko’ faithful will be hoping  little known Foullah Edifice of CHAD can do them a favour by dumping giants USM Algiers.
