ZESCO United linked with two Nigerian players

ZESCO United are reportedly chasing the signatures of two former Nigeria junior Internationals as they look to reinforce the squad for the second half of the season.

Wami Katanga reports that Nigerian striker Wasiu Jimoh has arrived in Zambia ahead of a move to Zesco United.

The Kwara United  forward has scored 3 goals in 4 CAF Champions League appearances this season including a brace against Moroccan heavyweights RS Berkane.

Tanzanian giants Simba SC and South African side Maritzburg United have also previously shown interest in the former Nigeria U-20 international.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international defender Denis Nya is expected to arrive in Zambia today  ahead of a move to Zesco United.

The 26-year old central defender who can also operate in midfield, plies his trade for Akwa United in the Nigerian top-flight.

He was part of the Nigeria U-17 squad that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the UAE.

Nya is expected to replace South Sudanese defender Peter Maker Manyang who is set to be released.
