Zambian Super League Champions Zesco United will this afternoon take on Eswatini’s Green Mamba FC in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg encounter in Ndola at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Zesco United who were recently involved in the Charity Shield encounter against local rivals Zanaco will be hoping to wrap the game in Ndola having scored two away goals in Eswatini via Umaru Kasumba who was set up by Thabani Kamusoko. Kasumba then turned provider and set up John Ching’andu.
Zesco United assistant coach Alfred Lupiya has declared the team ready to face Green Mamba FC in the CAF Champions League second leg at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this afternoon.
Coach Alfred Lupiya says all the players are fit for selection except Solomon Sakala who is still recovering from injury.
Lupiya has encouraged soccer fans around the country to turn up in numbers to support the team. Apha as he fondly called said that the team will take the game seriously and will not be complacent in their home encounter against the Green Mamba.
Meanwhile, during the pre-match press briefing at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium Green Mamba FC Captain Banele Dlamini is sure of victory in this afternoon’s match against Zega Mambo and has called upon all the fans to come and witness what the snake can do.
And Green Mamba FC coach Caleb Ngwenya said that his technical bench has studied Zesco United and they can can get the much needed goals to bounce back from the first leg defeat they suffered at their backyard.
With the news that all the players are fit for selection, the George Lwandamina led technical bench will be expected to field a strong starting eleven in this afternoon match.
The winner of the encounter will face either Tanzania Young Africans or Township Rollers of Botswana.
