Zesco United’s Kenyan international defender David Odhiambo was the hero of the Charity Shield final between Zesco United and Power Dynamos when he scored a brace to hand his team a 3 – 1 win in the electric derby.
Odhiambo opened the scores in the 31st minute after he reacted first from a corner kick to give Zesco a 1 – 0 lead after halftime.
Odhiambo added another for Zesco in the 65th minute but Power pulled one back from the spot after substitute Felix Sunzu won a foul.
Alex Ngonga stepped up and made no mistake from the spot in the 77th minute to make it 3 goals in two games to his name.
However Power hopes for a recovery were dealt an instant blow after a jittery Billy Mutale conceded an own goal a minute later to allow Zesco to cruise to a 3 – 1 win.
