Zesco United have opened a four-point lead at the summit following a 4-1 bashing of Lusaka dynamos at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The MTN/FAZ Super League entered week nine of action with seven matches taking center stage across the country. The Levy Mwanawasa Stadium held a triple header for the very first time with Forest Rangers hosting Power dynamos at 12:00, Buildcon and Napsa Stars squaring off at 14:00 before the main event of Zesco United facing Lusaka dynamos at 16:00hrs.
GUSTON MUTOBO RECORDS FIRST WIN.
Fred Mulambia scored the only goal of the game as Power dynamos beat 10-men Forest Rangers. The win was the first for coach Guston Mutobo since taking over as head coach.
Fole Malembe were reduced to ten men in the 49th minute after Cedric Djeugoue was given marching orders by referee Janny Sikazwe following a careless tackle on Lameck Kafwaya just outside the 18-yard area.
The win is however not enough to take Abayellow out of the relegation zone as they move just a place up to 16th place.
ZESCO UNITED IT EIGHT WINS IN A ROW
Zesco United thumped Lusaka dynamos 4-1 to record their eighth win in a row. Kenyan striker Jesse Jackson Was scored a hatrick with countrymate Anthony Akumu scoring the other goal to lead Zesco United to a routine 4-1 win.
The win means Zesco has now opened a four-point lead at the summit thanks to Red Arrows’ loss to Nkana.

THE BIG PA EFFECT
Lumwana Radiants came from a goal down to beat Kabwe Warriors 3-1 at the legendary Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. Felix Nyaende put the magnificent People’s team in the lead in the 3rd minute from a direct free-kick.
Lumwana, however, turned things around in the second half thanks to a Martin Dzillah brace and an own goal to make it two wins in a row. Since the arrival of Coach Patrick ‘Big Pa’ Phiri Lumwana seems to be playing with a lot more confidence and belief.

The win was their first away from home and it seems the former Chipolopolo boss has instilled belief in the Uranium Boys and they have started their resurgence.
KITWE IS NO FLY ZONE
Nkana beat Red Arrows 3-0 to end the Airmen’s unbeaten run. Ronald Kampamba, Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, and Harun Shakava scored the goals for the Kitwe giants.
The loss was the first that coach Chisi Mbewe and team have suffered this season. Nkana recording back to back wins and have moved back into the top four.
Green Buffaloes cams from a goal down to beat KYSA 2-1 thanks to goals from Patrick Ngoma and Eddie Sinyangwe. At Edwin Imboela Stadium, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers held Nkwazi to a barren draw.
