Zambian remaining representative in continental football, Zanaco suffered a second successive defeat in the 2021/2022 CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The Bankers were handed a 2-0 defeat by Egyptian outfit, Pyramids FC at their home ground, The National Heroes Stadium.
Kelvin Kaindu’s men came into the match looking to get back to winning ways following last weekend’s disappointing 1-0 loss away in Tunisia at the hands of CS Sfaxien.
It was however the visitors who managed to record their second win over Zanaco in three meetings.
South African forward Fagrie Lakay scored either side of half time to seal a 2-0 win over the Zambian side.
The loss means the Bankers move to the base of group A with no point while Pyramids maintain top spot with a six points to their name.
