The hosts started strong and took the lead within a minute as Alain Traore beat Toaster Nsabata from close range, 1-0.
Berkane were the better side for most of the first half with Traore being a menace in the Bankers defense.
The Bankers finally drew leveled matters six minutes to half time as Roger Kola headed home a brilliant Charles Zulu cross to bring the Bankers back into the match.
Chris Kaunda was forced to make a change after goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata suffered an injury and was stretched off, Mangani Banda came on to replace him.

In the second stanza, Berkane again dominated the match but the Bankers managed to hold on and force a draw to progress to the next round.
The draw meant Zanaco finished second in the group and progressed to the quarter-finals with Berkane.
