Zanaco off to Cameroon for Champions League

Zambian Champions Zanaco left for Cameroon in the early hours of Sunday ahead Wednesday’s CAF Champions League tie against group D basement side Coton Sport.

Coach Numba Mumamba has named the same squad which beat Green Buffaloes in the league on Thursday save for striker Kennedy Musonda.

Charles Zulu is still doing light training as he steps up recovery from a knee injury while Isaac Chansa who is back at Sunset Stadium will only be registered after the transfer window opens on July 1.

Injured Zimiseleni Moyo is the other notable absentee.

Congolese veteran midfielder Diddy Mpiana Kitumbo who run the midfield at Heroes Stadium is in the squad as well as under-20 star Boyd Musonda.

Zanaco are level on 7 points with leaders Al Ahly of Egypt and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to 12 games since losing to Green Eagles.
