Full-Time – NAPSA Queens 4-0 ZANACO Ladies (Faustina Ndelelwa x3, Christabel (0G)
NAPSA Queens has continued with their impressive performance in the 2020/21 FAZ Lusaka Women’s Provincial League after silencing ZANACO Ladies 4-0 to extend their unbeaten run to 5 games in succession out of the 6 games that they have played this season.
The Tangala Girls who seem to be unstoppable this time around welcomed Sensational Ladies who are still in search of their first win in the league and it was just another bad day at the office for the Bankers who have now gone 5 games without a win only managing to pick up 2 points in as many games as they have played in the league.
Both sides started the match trying to test each other with end-to-end action that was characterized by long balls, however, in the 17th-minute mark, The Pensioners started piling pressure and it paid off as Faustina Ndelelwa who was playing her second game for NAPSA benefit from a long pass from Chitete Munsaka with a counter-attack which was difficult for Christabel to handle in goal in a one on one situation as she ended up parring the ball in her net to make it 1-0 to NAPSA.
A few minutes later, yet again Ndelelwa was found in free acres of space in the 18-yard box pouncing on a loose ball from a defensive mistake before slotting home past Christabel for a second goal to NAPSA.
The former Play it Forward striker continued with more pressure up front and it paid off as she caught the Sensational Ladies defender napping with a third goal and a brace to her name in the 30th-minute mark.
Ndelelwa completed her hattrick for Tangala Girls assisted by Salome Kizomba in the 38th minute to make it 4-0 and beyond come back for ZANACO.
In the second half, ZANACO came back more organized and they managed to contain NAPSA in this half, though the Pensioners could have scored more goals as they missed a lot of scoring opportunities but thanks to Christabel who put up a good shift in the second half while her opposite number Chitete Esther Munsaka was on holiday almost the entire Match as she was hardly troubled in goal for NAPSA.
After all, was done and dusted, Coach Enala Phiri Simbeye’s drilled lasses showed supremacy over the Florence Chalesa tutored side in the Derby as the final score was NAPSA 4-0 ZANACO thanks to a player of the match performance from Faustina Ndelelwa who scored a hattrick and inspired the team to a sweet home victory.
This weekend NAPSA Queens will take a short trip to Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) to lock horns with Football Chance Foundation Girls while ZANACO Ladies will entertain Chibolya Sports Academy Girls in their respective Match Week 12 fixtures.
