Zanaco in fourth heaven as Kabwe Warriors and Power Dynamos share spoils

Sensational Zanaco moved up to second place on the MTN/FAZ Super League table following an emphatic 4-0 win over Lumwana Radiants.

Zanaco came into the match on Sunday knowing a win would take them to second place on the log after Buildcon suffered their second successive defeat on Saturday.

Moses Phiri scored a first-half brace before assisting a third a few into the second half setting up substitute Abraham Siankombo for his first of the match. Siankombo completed his brace a minute to time to seal a well deserved 4-0 win.

Elsewhere, Powerful Power Dynamos played to a 1-1 draw with Kabwe Warriors at Arthur Davies Stadium.

Mathews Nkhowani put the Magnificent People’s team in the 28th minute assisted by Ali Sadiki and aided by a Lawrence Mulenga mistake. Collen Mulenga brought Spencer Sautu down in the box in the second half and Alex Ng’onga stepped up to dispatch it with ease and level matters.

Both teams pushed for a winner but it was elusive. Prince Mumba was a named man of the match for his impressive showing in the match.
