Zanaco beat Power to go top of the log

Defending league Champions Sensational Zanaco beat Power Dynamos two goals to one to go top of the log with 47 points. Zanaco are tied on points with Green Buffaloes but have a superior goal difference.

Zanaco came into this match on the back of a humiliating 4 nil loss at the hands of Nkana. The bankers started the Match on a high and just seven minutes into the match talisman Souleyman Lokwa put them in the lead with a beautiful header from a Kennedy Musonda cross.

Power Dynamos quickly reorganised themselves and had a few chances of their own but it was not until the 21st minute that Jimmy Ndhlovu made it count with a wonderful shot from outside the 18 yard area.

The 2016 Champions just needed 2 minutes to have a restore their lead as Didi Kitumbo headed past power Dynamos goalkeeper Peter Njovu.

Coach Numba Mumamba made one of his trade mark substitution as youngster Kunda Nkandu was withdrawn 27 minutes into the match and Heritier Nkoko replaced him. Power Dynamos tried to get back into the match but Zanaco held on to collect Maximum points.
