The MTN Super League entered week 2 and seven matches were played across the country.
The ZamFoot Crew takes a look at the best from the Week 2 fixtures.
Goalkeeper: Hoveson Ching’ambu ( Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy) – He produced a series of save to deny Kitwe United strikeforce led by Austin Muwowo.
Right back: Langson Kapumbu (Nakambala Leopards) – The on loan Zanaco man kept Diamond Chikwekwe at bay.
Trivia: He is one of the four Kapumbu brothers in Zambian football. Three of them including Fackson in the top tier with the fourth at Division 1 club.
Left back: Luka Chamanga (National Assembly) – Gets the nod ahead of Kabwe Warriors’ Liason Thole who also had a brilliant game and capped it with goal.
Chamanga was impressive at wing back position as Assembly played in 3-5-2 formation. He came close to scoring.
Centre back: George Chilufya – (Zanaco) Twice he produced world class tackles to deny Green Eagles’ Tapson Kaseba from finding the back of the net.
Centre back: White Mwanambaba (Power Dynamos) – Produced a man of the match performance for the Kitwe giants as the thwarted the threat of Assembly’s Peter Mwangani.
Right wing: Giuly Manziba (Zanaco) – Came off the bench to replace the ineffective Ernest Mbewe in 38 minute and the Congolese winger was a game changer.
His direct runs opened up the Eagles defence. He set up and assisted the second goal for Zanaco.
Defensive Midfield: William Njobvu (National Assembly) – The veteran midfielder gave the likes of Chaloba the platform to attack.
Attacking midfielder: Reuben Chansa (Lusaka Dynamos) – Started off Chris Mugalu and new signing stuck to the basics. Capped his fine performance with a goal.
Nchanga Rangers’ Peter Zulu deserves a mention.
Can Reuben emulate his older brother?
Attacking midfielder: Isaac ‘Gattuso’ Chansa (Zanaco) – Gets the nod ahead of Nkwazi’s Sebastian Mwansa. He is a proper box to box midfielder and covered more ground than any other player on the pitch.
Despite slipping, the Zambian legend readjusted himself to connect a Manziba low cross to give the bankers a 2 goal caution.
Trivial: Goal scoring weekend for the Chansa brothers. It is the first time both Reuben and Isaac have found the back of net.

Left Wing: Martin Njobvu (Nchanga Rangers) – Straight from attending trials at Red Bull Salzburg, the teenage showed why he is highly rated with a 25 yard thunderbolt in his club ‘s 2-0 win over Napsa Stars.
He had a good first half but faded in the second half.
Striker: Chris Mugalu (Lusaka Dynamos) – Last season’s top scorer got of the mark against Lumwana.
Zanaco’ s Martin Phiri who scored a powerful header deserves a mention.
Formation: 4-3-3
Coach: Kelvin Kaindu (Power Dynamos)
Oswald ‘Mourinho’ Mutapa went head on head with Kelvin ‘Pep’ Kaindu.
Instead of sticking to his formation, Kaindu had to change his tactics and formation twice in order to hold on to victory over Assembly.

Good to see Chansa kicking the ball!
Has Wada left yet?
Isaac Chansa still has it eh? I’m waiting to hear how Chisamba Lungu does
