Zambian trio ready for Continental quarter finals

With no Zambian club in both the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup, the country’s interest in the two competitions will be in East Africa.

On Saturday, Tanzanian giants Simba host Moroccan side Wydad in the Champions League while their rivals Yanga are away in West Africa.

Zambian duo Moses Phiri and Clatous Chota Chama are in the match day squad for Simba with the latter expected to start.

Former Power Dynamos forward Kennedy Musonda has traveled with Yanga.

Yanga will face River United in Nigeria’s Uyo State.

Zambian clubs Zesco United and Red Arrows were dumped out out of Africa in the preliminary rounds.
