The 2023/24 MTN Super League season will open on August 19 with fixtures set to be rolled out on July 7.
According to a communique by the Zambian Premier League manager Brian Mulenga, the Charity Shield will be played on August 12.
“The league will commence on August 19. Fixtures will be communicated on Friday 7th July 2023 when the playoffs have been concluded and the new entrants to the National Division One are confirmed and the fixtures have been approved by the FAZ Executive Committee and the ZPL Board,” Mulenga said.
The 2023 MTN Super League champions Power Dynamos will tussle with Forest Rangers who are the ABSA Cup champions in the league curtain raiser.
Trident, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers, Mutondo Stars and Konkola Blades are the Newcomers to the Elite League while Mpulungu Youth, Quattro Kalumbila, Young Prison Leopards and National Assembly join the National Division One.
