Zambian players abroad: Fashion and Lubambo on target

Zambian players abroad were in action over the weekend with Lubambo Musonda and Fashion Sakala scoring goals to help their clubs to victories. Prosper Chiluya provided an assist while Brian Mwila made his Austrian Bundesliga league debut.

In South Africa, Former Zanaco midfielder Salulani Phiri saw a straight just after twenty minutes for a careless tackle but his Polokwane team mates managed to secure a narrow one nil win over Bidvets Wits.

Elsewhere, Justin Shonga was an unused substitute for the Sea Robbers, Orlando Pirates who managed a comfortable two nil win over Coach Wedson Nyirenda’s Baroka FC. Winger Augustine Mulenga was left out of the match day squad.

Former Power dynamos striker Gamphani Jones Lungu played the last 18 minutes in Supersport United’s 4-0 win over Black Leopards. Mwape Musonda was not part of the Leopards match day squad.

In DRC, Zambian trio of former Chipolopolo captain Rainford Kalaba, midfielder Nathan Sinkala and defender Kabaso Chongo suffered a shock exit from the CAF Champions League after they were held to a one all draw by Angolan out-fit Primero de Agosto in Lubumbashi . Mazembe missed two penalties in the match.

In Morocco, Former Nkana captain and his Olympique Khouribga team mates secured maximum points on Sunday beating Chabab Rif Hoceima 2-1.

In Tanzania, Former Lusaka dynamos captain Clatous Chota Chama and his Simba Team mates recorded a resounding three one victory over Mwadui FC thanks to a brace from John Bocco and another from Meddie Kagere.

Lubinda Mundia and his Singinda team mates suffered a two nil defeat at the hands of Young Africans (YANGA).

In Austria, Midfielder Enock Mwepu came on in the 85th minute to replace Amadou Haidara in Redbull Salzburg’s two nil win over Rapid Wien.

Former Green Buffaloes striker Brian Mwila made his Austrian Bundesliga debut coming on in the 67th minute to replace Iraq attacker Sherko Kareem Lateef Gubari but could not help Rheindorf Altach who suffered their fourth straight loss losing one nil to Wolfsberger AC.

In Armenia, Wing wizard Lubambo Musonda scored a brace and assisted to help Gandzasar Kapan to their first victory of the season.

In China, Striker Jacob Mulenga put in a full ninety minute shift for his Chinese League one side Liaoning Kiaxin who were held to a one all draw by Meizhou Hakka.

In Belgium, Zambian striker Fashion Sakala scored his second goal of the season to help his Belgian club KV Oostende to a 2-1 win over AS Eupen.

Midfielder Emmanuel Banda came on in the 89th minute to replace his country mate.

In England, Zambia U20 national team winger Lifumpa Mwandwe and his Shrewsbury Town U18 team mates secured a comfortable two nil win over Morecambe U18.

In France, Chipolopolo defensive kingpin Stophila Sunzu put in a decent full ninety minute shift for FC Metz as they suffered a two one defeat to FC Paris. The loss was the their first in the league this season.

In Israel, Defender Emmanuel Mbola put in a decent full ninety minute shift for Hapoel Rana’ana who played out to a one all draw against Ashdod.

In Portugal, Kenneth Kalunga and his Clube Futebol União de Lamas FF team mates played out to a goalless draw with Estarreja.

In Russia, Former Nkana striker Evans Kangwa was an unused substitute for Arsenal Tula in their two all draw against Rubin Kazan.

In the USA, Left back Prosper Chiluya put in a decent full ninety minute shift for Bethlehem Steel FC who beat Toronto II by four goals to nil. The Kafue Celtic product also chipped in with an assist for the opening goal of the match.

Mutaya Mwape was left out of the Charlotte Independence match day squad for their one all draw with New York Redbull II.

    Ba Zamfoot please mwilatubepa naimwe Mulenga played almost 80min if m not mistaken i watched the whole match.
