Zambian midfielders Klings Kangwa and Miguel Chaiwa could face off this evening as their clubs square off in a UEFA Champions League tie.
Klings Kangwa’s RedStar Belgrade are in Bern for a round five tie of their group stage campaign.
The two teams have endured some of the most miserable campaigns of the 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League as they have only managed a point each.
The point each came from the reverse fixture, a 2-2 draw in the Stadion Rajko Mitic in Belgrade.
Kangwa has been rarely used in the recent past, only playing in two of Belgrade’s last ten matches.
Chaiwa has also not been consistently used by the Young Boys coach as he has made the team five times in the last team games playing in four of the five games.
Zambian fans will be hoping for a showdown between the two players in Europe’s most elite club Competition.
Should they get some game time it will also be good for the National Team as the Africa Cup of Nations is just six weeks away.
Kickoff in Bern is set for 22:00hrs CAT.
