Zambian clubs have been handed fair draws for the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary round.
In the Champions League, The Bankers will face Akonangui Fútbol Club. Akonangui is an Equatoguinean football club based in the city of Ebebiyín.
Champions, ZESCO United will face six-time Swazi Premier League Champions, Royal Leopards.
If ZESCO should progress they face either GD Sagrada Esperança of Angola or FC Platinum of Zimbabwe. ZANACO on the other hand will face either Express FC of Uganda or the Sudanese side, Al Merrikh.

In the Confederation Cup, Kabwe Warriors have drawn CFFA of Madagascar while Red Arrows will face Young Buffaloes of Eswatini.
Should Arrows get past this stage they will face Angolan outfit CD Primeiro de Agosto while Kabwe Warriors may meet the winner between Mafunzo SC of Zanzibar and Interclube of Angola should they beat CFFA.
The first leg of the first preliminary round will take place 10-12 September and the second leg between 17-19 September while the second preliminary round will take place on 15-17 October for the first leg and 22-24 October for the second leg.
