The Zambia national women’s team on Friday afternoon beat visiting Egyptian women’s national 1 – 0 in a game played at Sunset Stadium.
A 43rd minute goal by Noriah Sosala was enough to settle the tie.
Zambia played a familiar team and will be glad to have picked a morale boosting with after they were eliminated from the race to the Africa Cup by neighbours Zimbabwe.
The two teams will play their second friendly match on Sunday at the same venue.
