Zambia Under-17 have have failed to qualify to the quarter finals of the CAF U17 African Cup of Nations
Despite Zambia sealing a 2-1 victory over Morocco in the final Group B match on Saturday night, Ian Bakala’s boys will be heading back to Lusaka.

South Africa, who lost 3-2 to Nigeria in a five goal thriller will need to wait for the result between Cameroon and Burkina Faso in Group.
From Group A, Algeria, Senegal and Congo qualified to the quarter finals.
Nigeria and Morocco are in the quarter finals from Group B.
Mali also booked the their quarter final place after recording their victories over Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

I watched league games today, Nkwazi vs Muza FC and GBFC vs Kabwe Warriors, even at league level there’s no quality in our players, especially shooting the ball at goal! It’s like football players who have eye sight problems! They are always naive in front of goal! They don’t relax, they are not confident! What’s the problem? Is it lack of motivation or something else! At the same time I feel the coaches are not doing match! The ball on the pitch is the decider of everything! Today’s ball is very light, you don’t have to shoot what in our time called “chigondo”, it will rise and rise and side! Those of who watch world class players like Messi, Christiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane etc, they don’t kick the modern ball “chigondo” they simply guide the ball with the side of the foot, it goes without gaining much height! May be our local coaches have to be teaching their players how to shoot the ball when in front of goal! It was a big problem with our so called under 17, most of whom looked well above 20!
